PRACTICE in the Press
The weekend of October 28 saw the Game Center playing host to Practice: Game Design in Detail. This three-day game design conference gathered together around 80 practicing game designers for presentations, panel discussions, and a chance for socializing among peers. For those that were unable to attend, we encourage you check out some of these articles written by Practice attendees. We’ll also be posting videos of some of the talks in the near future!
The prolific Leigh Alexander wrote individual articles for several talks, as did Evan Narcisse of Kotaku. iPlayWinner posted a recording of the Designers, Players – Fight! panel. Kill Screen and Destructoid had their writers summarize the events on the whole, and many participants shared their thoughts on their personal blogs and websites throughout last week. The coverage is widespread and varied, and, most encouragingly, extremely positive. If you missed this year’s Practice, we’ll be hosting the conference again next year, and we hope to see you there!
