PRACTICE 2012 Registration is Now Open!

Registration for PRACTICE 2012 is now open!

PRACTICE is an intimate gathering of top designers, a unique opportunity for the high-level exchange of ideas, and a close look at the nuts and bolts of game design. Game design is a specialized, complex discipline, and PRACTICE is our opportunity to understand better what we do when we design games.

What can you expect this year? We are keeping what we loved about the conference – great talks and intense debates; an intimate venue with lots of socializing; unique exchanges like the Open Problems session – while also making it better. Our speaker lineup includes CCG icon Richard Garfield, designer of Magic: the Gathering, as well videogame designers like Christina Norman (League of Legends), Doug Wilson (Johan Sebastian Joust), and Spry Fox’s Dan Cook.

There is a brand-new venue, more speaking slots, better-organized lunch breaks, and even more social events. We’ll keep adding more information on the website at: http://gamecenter.nyu.edu/practice
PRACTICE 2012 will take place on Nov 9-11. The prices are the same as last year – $500, with a limited number of tickets at $400 for full-time NYU students. General sales are now open, so grab your spot before tickets sell out again this year! Registration is open here: http://bit.ly/MZs1xO

The attendees are what makes PRACTICE such a great expereince, so please spread the word, and if you know someone that you think would be a great addition to the conference, let us know and we will contact them directly.

We hope to see you at PRACTICE 2012 this Fall!
