Ken Perlin Shows the Cutting Edge in Games Research

This Thursday, Ken Perlin, professor in the NYU Media Research Laboratory and director of NYU Games For Learning Institute will be at the Game Center.  Ken will be showing the results of a variety of research going on in the Lab, including procedurally animated characters, interacting with augmented and mixed reality, educational games, real-time graphics, the future of the book, and various other topics.  There will be plenty of fascinating demos of his latest projects, and time for Q&A.  This event is free and open to the public.

The Game Center MFA is a 2-year Masters of Fine Arts degree that explores the design and development of games as a creative practice.

Established in 2008, the NYU Game Center is part of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. We celebrate games as a creative practice, and offer courses and public programs on the design, production, and study of games as an aesthetic and cultural form. It is part of our mission to establish New York City as a center of innovation in this important field.
