This Saturday from 7-11pm at Babycastles, 217 E 42nd street, please join game creators, Nathalie Pozzi and Professor Zimmerman, along with graphic designer, Rachel Morris, for a party stuffed with gameplay to celebrate the closing of their latest game, Flatlands. Flatlands is an argument for 2 players and a judge using an archive of 200 board games as the basis for social and strategic play.

Keeping with the theme of board games, there will be a guest lecture by Jesse Fuchs titled, “Auction Monopoly: The Strange History of America’s Greatest Folk Game and its Lobotomized Doppelgänger.” Following this theme, there will be a playable hand-painted version of Auction Monopoly. And for the digital gaming fans, Babycastles will be showcasing a few hard-to-find GameLab games, that you don’t want to miss.

As always, live music will be provided. For this occasion hip hop and mash- up pioneer, Steinski, will be playing a DJ set themed around the event itself.

The event is open to all ages and is free of charge, donations are always welcome.
