NYU Game Center Lecture Series Presents
Bennett Foddy
Making Sportsfriends

Thursday, April 3, 7PM
2 Metrotech Center, 8th Floor

Sportsfriends is many things: a compilation of four multiplayer games, a bold experiment in indie game development dynamics, and a reinvented business model for local-only multiplayer games. In this lecture Game Center Professor Bennett Foddy will tell the story of Sportsfriends from its inception and Kickstarter success to its final moments. The talk will explain how this new approach resolves some of the oldest problems in indie game development, and how it borrows some of the oldest problems from garage bands and indie filmmaking.

Free and open to the public.
