Contest: Free Tickets to Indiecade
The Game Center is not only sending games, speakers, and sponsorship to Indiecade, the LA-based premiere festival for independent games, but we are also giving away three free passes to the event. To decide who gets the passes, we are holding a contest over Twitter this week. To enter, compare your favorite game or game designer to some other form of culture or person, using the formula:
X is the Y of videogames
- or -
Z is the Q of game design
Be sure to include the #nyugamecenter hashtag and be sure to add an explanation – all in 140 characters or less. For example, you might tweet:
Jonathan Blow is the Brian Eno of game designers – he has no idea how geeky great his work actually is. #nyugamecenter
- or -
Pac-Man is the Macbeth of videogames – a true classic, centered on a character who plays at being mad to survive. #nyugamecenter
That’s it! Be sure to post your tweets before 12PM on Thursday, September 30th– New York City time. We’ll showcase the finalists on the Game Center blog and announce the winners on Friday, October 1.
