The New York eSports Summit brings representatives from major competitive games to the same table for one night only. What do these games have in common? What success and challenges do they share? What do we all want for the future of eSports to look like and how can we make that future happen?

The NYU Game Center, in partnership with Red Bull in anticipation of the 2013 Red Bull Battlegrounds, are excited to welcome Sean ‘Day9’ Plott from Starcraft, Travis “SotLTravis” Gafford representing League of Legends, Ryan ‘Gootecks’ Gutierrez of Street Fighter, and Rod “Slasher” Breslau of Gamespot to New York City to discuss this vibrant and growing sector of the games industry and culture.

We invite you to join us and hear these leaders in eSports share their opinions and we welcome you to come with your questions. RSVP here. This event is free and open to the public.

Then on Saturday, November 23, see high level eSports competition at it’s best in as eight of the top StarCraft players in the world fight it out at the 2013 Redbull Battlegrounds.

    The designer of some of today’s most innovative and genre defining local multiplayer games, Michael Brough, will be here to talk about his approaches and challenges to designing Glitch Tank, SMESPORT, and local multiplayer games in general.
