What makes a good game, great? Now that more people than ever are making games, how can a designer stand out as unique? In an ever-changing world, what are the tools designers have to do right by their communities? This is a course that will take the fundamental issues from game studies and give you the tools to begin putting them to work in the creative process. Students will generate primary research using a game as a case study for improving their own design practices.
