This weekend, we’ll be at the Museum of the Moving Image for IndieCade East! This year’s festival is the kickoff for a long term exhibit at the Museum of the Moving Image entitled IndieCade Presents: A Decade of Game Design.

We’ll be there showing off some faculty, alumni, and student games, and giving talks throughout the conference!

Come play indie darling party game, The Metagame, with it’s creators, including NYU Game Center Professor Eric Zimmerman! The Metagame is the ultimate cure for awkward silences. It sparks conversation about everything from high art to trashy entertainment and everything in between. It’s not about knowing facts — it’s about having opinions and sharing them with your friends.

Come take an NYU Game Center class! NYU Game Center Professor Charles Pratt will be giving his lecture on action games from our hallmark Games 101 course. Games 101 is the foundational course for the NYU Game Center that students take when they enter the program. The focus of Games 101 is game literacy – a shared understanding of games as complex cultural and aesthetic objects.

Come help a man stuck in a pot get over a large trash mountain using only a hammer. It’s impossible? It’s Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy while Bennett Foddy provides a live version of his commentary for your attempt at the game.
