Matteo Uguzzoni

Matteo is an Italian game designer and architect. Since 2009 he has worked as an urban game designer and as a teacher and consultant on game design and interactive arts.

He is the NYU Games Center Incubator Director and Adjunct Faculty at Pratt Institute where he teaches Game Design Studio classes. Formerly, he was the interim Chair of the Interactive Arts department at Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore, MD. He is a TedX speaker, podcast host and festival curator.

Matteo’s projects received national and international awards and have been featured in newspapers and magazines like Wired, Sole 24ore, Repubblica and Corriere della Sera (Italy’s main daily newspapers), his games were showcased and awarded in International festivals and shows like Goethe Kultursymposium (Weimar, Germany), Triennale (Milano), Playpublik (Krakow, Poland), 72 Hours Interactions (Witten, Germany) Come Out and Play (New York), The Big Show (Baltimore, MD).

Matteo lives and makes games in New York City.
