On Saturday, October 30th The Game Center will be hosting its second Super Smash Bros. Brawl Tournament, the Fall Brawl, on the 9th Floor of the Tisch building, starting at 2pm.
Released in 2008 for Nintendo’s Wii console and designed by Masahiro Sakurai, Super Smash Bros. Brawl is one of the premier fighting games in the world. Featuring 35 playable characters and a unique damage system it also one of the deepest and most innovative games available.
The Fall Brawl will determine the best brawler at NYU and a prize will be awarded to the one player who can push their way through the double-elimination tournament and take the top spot. All are welcome and there will be food available to the participants and anyone else who comes to cheer on their favorite fighters.
Only 30 spots are available in the tournament so to sign up and participate please email gamecenter@nyu.edu with your name and contact information. Further details on tournament rules will announced at a later date.
GameCube controllers will be made available, but you are strongly encouraged to bring you own.
