The NYU Game Center’s interim Director, Frank Lantz, recently gave a TEDx talk entitled “Reinventing Gaming.” Frank uses poker as an example of how we can think about games as different from other expressive media. He reminds us, “There are other ways to think about how games can produce deep profound meanings. Ways that are nothing like literature, film, and theater.”
Frank argues for a compelling vision of a new way of thinking about games, and should not be missed by anyone interested in the study of games.
