Think you’ve got the best Cammy in NYC? Registration is now open for the NYU Game Center’s fifth annual Spring Fighter tournament!
This year Spring Fighter is expanding! In addition to the free tournaments for Super Street Fighter IV and Marvel vs Capcom, there will also be tournaments for BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma, Super Smash Bros Melee, Super Smash Bros Brawl and Project M. Plus, get in on the indie esports action with Killer Queen, BaraBariBall, and more.
Seth Killian is returning this year to interview another legend of the fighting game community: Alex Valle. You can check out his conversation with Daigo Umehara from last year here.
Here’s the full weekend schedule:
Saturday, June 7th
12PM – Player Check-in @ 2 Metrotech Center, 8th Floor – All players must check-in in person to claim their spot in the tournament.
1PM – Melee 2v2 begins
2PM – Pools A: Ultra Spring Fighter IV, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, BlazBlue: Chrono Phatasma, BaraBariBall, Killer Queen, Foiled, and Brawl 2v2 begins
3PM – Project M 2v2 begins
4PM – Brawl 1v1 begins
5PM – Pools B, Finals for BaraBariBall, Killer Queen, and Foiled
Sunday, June 8th
12PM – Top 8 for BlazBlue, Project M 1v1 Begins
1PM – Melee 1v1 begins
2PM – Top 8 for UMVC3
6PM – A Conversation with Seth Killian and Alex Valle
8PM – Top 8 for USF4
Register here for each game. Tournament fees will be collected for Smash games on-site. Spectators are welcome!
