The fighting game community is one of the most exciting and important parts of video game culture. We’ve been involved with the community for ten years, partnering with the Evo Tournament for our Evo Scholarship as well as hosting events and tournaments for local players.
Because of this we fully support efforts by the Evo tournament, its organizers, and other members of the community to keep abusive behavior on the part of players and organizers out their events, and to hold everyone accountable for their actions no matter how difficult or inconvenient the circumstances. This is a time for all of us to look for ways to make the culture of competitive games safer and more welcoming for players and fans.
