While we can’t welcome in the general public right now (due to NYU’s COVID restrictions), we’re offering a remote/virtual playtest option! Join Playtest Thrusday from anywhere in the world!

Your game will be set-up on a laptop at Playtest Thursday, and playtesters will be able to sit down at the station, play, and give you feedback via a video call on the NYU Game Center Events Discord!

Here’s how to sign-up and how it works:
  1. Join the NYU Game Center Events Discord (open to the public!): https://discord.gg/26MMzk9dcB
  2. To sign-up for a future Thursday, fill out this google form: https://forms.gle/MAwDuQxPi4PHdega6
  3. A representative from the NYU Game Center will be in touch with you on the Discord to schedule your playtest. Usually we schedule 1-2 remote playtests per week, and usually you can playtest the week you sign-up (if you sign-up earlier than Thursday). If there’s a long waitlist for remote playtesting, we’ll let you know!
  4. During your playtest, all you’ll need to do is be live on the Discord from 5:30-7:30pm, and be ready to link to your game and take notes!

Playtest Thursday will be happening weekly 5:30-7:30pm September 8 – December 1, with the exception of Thanksgiving Break (November 24th). Playtest Thursday will wrap-up at 7:00pm on evenings with an event directly following Playtest Thursday (Sept 22, Oct 13, Oct 27, Nov 10).
