Mauricio Juliano dos Santos

Graphic / UI / Game Designer with an enormous passion for games and everything related. I came from Brazil to the Game Center to follow my passion and learn from the best.

Describe one memorable lecture, assignment, or exercise you've had at the Game Center.
My presentation about female representation in videogames and Dragon's Crown at Game Studies was really great! I managed to take such a polemic theme and present it in a way where everyone could have fun at the presentation, without taking away the seriousness of the discourse.
How has the Game Center changed your thinking about games?
I thought that games should be extremely complex digital media that usually took months to make, but the game center showed me many different types of games, some of which can be done in a matter of minutes.
What do you hope to accomplish after school?
To be able to turn a hobby into a profession, and make a living doing what I love.
What's the last great game you played and what's great about it?
Luftrausers, I wouldn't be able to appreciate that particular type of game before the program. It's a very simple game made by one person in less than a month, but it has endless replayability.
