Sammy Chuang

Formerly a biology major at NYU's College of Arts and Science, Sammy transferred to Game Design in her sophomore year. Going into the major with almost no knowledge about game design and development, she originally was unsure if it was the right choice to change programs. Nowadays it's a choice she doesn't regret in the slightest. Sammy's interests lie in visual design and storytelling and she's a sucker for a good puzzle. She also does a killer Scottish accent.

Why are you studying games?
Growing up, I never played many video games, mostly because we didn't have consoles in my house, but I was always absolutely fascinated by them, especially The Legend of Zelda! Video games are an exciting intersection of art and technology, and I hope to be a part of making them in the future.
What's your favorite New York City spot?
The Nintendo store on a Tuesday. Endless supply of cute plushies, games to play, and it's all the better when there are no people!
