Why are you studying games?
I love games. Gosh I love games. I love playing them. And I love making them. I want to learn how to create interactive experiences with exploration, excitement, and surprises.
Describe your favorite project made by a classmate.
I loved working on Safe Havens a coopetitive Eurogame set in a zombie apocalypse where 2 to 4 players must build and maintain their safe havens while fending off the undead. I had a fun time since it started as a simple card game and it became a complex Eurogame with many interconnecting systems
Describe one memorable lecture, assignment, or exercise you've had at the Game Center.
The Action-Adventure games lecture. That was when I knew what kind of games I wanted to make: Das Gesamtkunstwerk: the total artwork. Thus I can incorporate all mediums into one culminating game.
How has the Game Center changed your thinking about games?
Game Center has taught me to see the importance of games as a form of media that can engage people and become a positive force to unite humanity despite the barriers. I've learned that the ingredients for games allow for innovation and are more powerful than having a game defined by its genre.
What do you hope to accomplish after school?
I hope to work at an AAA game company, continue my acting career, be a filmmaker, streamer, esports player, have my own production house, and be a philanthropist.
