This talk will cover the underlying move and effects systems that power the beat-em-up combat in Matthew Wegner’s game Aztez, including design considerations, specific physics issues, and Unity editor-based workflows for programmer-free content creation

Matthew is the programmer, metagame designer, and biz dev guy for Aztez. He is a co-chair of the Independent Games Festival, advisor to the Independent Games Summit, Indie Fund member, occasional photographer, sometimes mountain unicyclist, and curator for Unity’s “Unite” conference. He has been working in games since 2001.
