Every year since 2014, Intel celebrates some of the best work happening at game programs around the country with the Intel University Game Showcase! The Showcase takes place during the annual Game Developer’s Conference and will be happening this year virtually, live at twitch.tv/intel! Join the NYU Game Center to admire the work made at today’s top game universities and cheer on the NYU Game Center representatives to take home the top prizes!

This year, the NYU Game Center will be represented by Nainai’s Recipe by Fan Fang & Mai Hou (MFA ’21). Nainai’s Recipe was Fan and Mai’s graduate thesis work, made entirely remotely over the 2021-2022 academic year. The game captures the feeling of cooking in stylized visuals, and tells one family’s story about how we lived together in a special way during 2020. Fan and Mai are continuing development on the game in the 2021 NYU Game Center Incubator, and you can play a demo of the game here.

Nainai’s Recipe will be eligible to win one of 7 different prizes in 3 different categories: Best Visual Quality, Best Gameplay, and Most Innovative Game! The winners are selected by an esteemed panel of game industry judges.
