Jim and Emily Greer started Kongregate in 2006, revolutionizing not only the world of web-based games, but also the way game developers were paid by publishers. Along the way, they built one of the most robust communities of players on the internet. Now, in the wake of Flash’s decline, they’re sharing the arc of their careers, from their modest beginnings through the success of Kongragate, covering the challenges that come with building a seminal community platform, their wins and losses, and what they’re working on now.
