Jenna Yow is a narrative designer and member of KO_OP, a worker-run games cooperative based in Montreal. They served as lead writer and script revisionist on the award winning cinematic narrative game Goodbye Volcano High, a game about anthropomorphic dinosaur teens faced with the apocalypse.
In this talk they’ll discuss their exploration of the concept of the “other” in video games and the ways that otherness is wielded against us to uphold existing structures of power in and outside of fiction.
