Join us to hear from Mark Kleback, co-founder of Death By Audio Aracade, and Andy Wallace, vice president of DBAA, on DBA Arcade, cabinet making, and their upcoming project Wonderville! Plus, join us 5-7PM during Playtest Thursday today to play some games from the Arcade before the talk!
Death By Audio Arcade, a Brooklyn based non-profit focused on building arcade cabinets for indie games and hosting events around them, is raising money to open a new venue for indie games in NYC! Wonderville will be an arcade, event space, and bar focused on the indie gaming community of New York. Help us reach our goal! Some of the rewards include games bundles by amazing developers and T-shirts and enamel pins designed by some great artists and exclusive to this Kickstarter campaign!
For five years, DBA Arcade has been moving their custom arcade machines around New York, showcasing at Maker Faire, Indiecade East, MAGFest, and the Smithsonian SAAM Arcade in Washington DC. They’ve also had residencies at venues like Elsewhere, Silent Barn, Secret Project Robot, Superchief Gallery, and The Dreamhouse.
Wonderville will be a place not only for the DBA Arcade collection, but anyone working on games or interactive art in New York! If you’d like to get involved, check out @DBAArcade on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram or email us at someone@deathbyaudioarcade.
Talk is free and open to the public.
