Rowan Wood

Rowan Wood is a game designer and developer at Wobblestone Games and an adjunct professor teaching programming and game development courses at the NYU Game Center. They designed, programmed, and released yarne (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1548190/yarne/), a relaxing abstract puzzle game about unraveling shapes. They also collaborated on rewilding (https://heavymeadow.co/), an ecosystem simulation game about regrowing a forest after environmental collapse, which was selected for the 2021 NYU Game Center Incubator. Additionally, they designed and programmed Piloting Red Rover (https://www.amnh.org/explore/ology/astronomy/piloting-red-rover) for the American Museum of Natural History, in coordination with the 2020 launch of the Perseverance Mars Rover. They have a particular interest in systems based games and are always open to playtest anyone’s projects. They graduated from the NYU Game Center with a BFA in Game Design in 2020.
