Former MFA Mary Kenney Releasing YA Book on Women in Games!

NYU Game Center alumni are game designers, producers, artists, musicians, project managers, and also … young adult book authors! Mary Kenney is releasing a book called Gamer Girls in 2022 which profiles 25 influential women from throughout the history of games. The first-of-its-kind book, published by Running Press, digs into the important contributions women have had to notable titles throughout history, such as Centipede, Final Fantasy, and Halo.

Since her time in the NYU Game Center MFA, Mary has also worked as an award-winning game writer for some impressive AAA titles including The Walking Dead: The Final Season, Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales, and the upcoming Marvel’s Wolverine. Follow Mary here.
