The NYU Game Center is out in full force at this year’s IndieCade!
Several of the faculty will be speaking over the course of the three day conference. Recent addition to the staff, Eric Zimmerman, will be holding a game design contest called Iron Game Designer, while Director Frank Lantz will be keynoting on Sunday as well as sitting on a panel called Punk Rock M***** F*****, talking about games and pop culture, and Researcher Charles Pratt will be speaking during the Artgame Session and sitting on a panel about storytelling and games called Interactive Storytelling Goes Indie. Even Dylan McKenzie, Coordinator, and beating heart of the Game Center, will be in attendance.
New York and the Game Center have a presence in IndieCade’s Audience Awards show as well. Matt Parker’s Recruse, which premiered in the Spring at the No Quarter Exhibition, Eric Zimmerman and Nathalie Pozzies’s 16 Tons, and Jesse Fuchs’ Tic-Tac-Totum have all been named finalists for the awards and will be displayed on the convention floor.
So if you’re in Culver City this weekend be sure to come to hear some great talks and play some exciting independent games!
