An experimental adventure game about social media as a medium of self projection

social_me explorers the way we present ourselves on social media and how this influences the relationships we build both on- and offline. We often don’t think twice about posting party pictures on social networks, gossiping with friends on instant messaging services or having video sex with our long distance partners. Over-sharing the most intimate information about our personal lives has become common practice. At the same time, our social media profiles have turned into a curated representation of ourselves.
The goal of social_me was to create a surreal, socio-political game that mimics players and their social media habits in a way that makes them reflect upon them.
