See You in San Francisco!
Faculty, staff, and students from the NYU Game Center will be in San Francisco for the Game Developer’s Conference 2017 from February 27th to March 3rd. There are many ways to meet with us, hear from our faculty, and see our students’ work.
If you represent an organization that would like to speak with our Industry Liaison about jobs, internships, or collaboration with the Game Center during GDC, write us at gamecenter@nyu.edu.
The Booth
From Wednesday to Friday we’ll be in the North Expo call, located between the IGF pavilion and the Alt.Ctrl.GDC area. Our booth features a rotating selection of games made by our students and alumni, a comfortable couch, and warm lighting, so stop by for some respite from the intensity. We’re also bringing our successful public Playtest Thursday to GDC- From 5 to 6PM on Wednesday and Thursday, anyone and everyone is welcome to set up their games on the screens in our booth. There, our faculty, students, and other conference-goers will give feedback on the games. Free and open to all!
NYS Developers’ Meetup
As one of three New York State grant-winning Universities, we established the NYC Games Hub, a division of the Game Center that supports and raises the profile of the games industry in New York. Together with RIT and RPI, we’re hosting an informal meetup in San Francisco on Thursday 3/2 from 8-9:30PM. This event for NYS developers and folks who would like to meet those of us making games in the state. Free and open to the public. More information here.
