NYU Game Center Lecture Series presents
The Ludic Century: A Debate
Thursday, November 14th, 7pm
19 W 4th St, Room 101
Will the 21st Century be defined by games? This Fall, Professor Eric Zimmerman published his “Manifesto for a Ludic Century”, a polemic about the place of games and game thinking in this century. The piece generated passionate dialogue and critique from across the field of games, so we’ve invited a number of those thinkers to the Game Center to debate their positions in person. Please join Eric Zimmerman, Abe Stein, Ben Johnson, and McKenzie Wark in a debate moderated by Heather Chaplin. The format of the evening will be conversational, with the audience encouraged to join in on the debate.
