Patrick Trinh is a game developer and musician based in Brooklyn, New York. He holds a BS in Cognitive Science from UC San Diego as well as an MS in Games and Playable Media from UC Santa Cruz.
Patrick works at the intersection of games and music, exploring concepts of play and performance through his game development practice as well as his electronic music act Space Town, where he performs live and improvised techno using limited hardware. His thesis project AURA was selected by UC Santa Cruz to be a part of the Intel University Games Showcase at the Game Developer’s Conference in San Francisco.
Patrick has worked on numerous projects in the game industry such as Asgard’s Wrath and Marvel: Powers United for Sanzaru, an AR/VR Studio at Meta. He has worked as a designer for Fashion Klossette and as a project lead for Elton John’s Beyond the Yellow Brick Road for Sawhorse Productions. Patrick has also taught Audio Direction for UC Santa Cruz’s Games and Playable Media Master’s program before his appointment as an Assistant Professor at the NYU Game Center.
