Resources and Library

Students at the NYU Game Center have access to a wide-ranging, cross disciplinary collection of technology and resources that allow them to explore  the past while experimenting with the future of game creation.

The Open Library

The NYU Game Center is home to one of the largest game collections in the world. 3000+ games are available for students to play. The collection includes consoles ranging from early Ataris to today’s newest systems, a fleet of gaming PCs as well as older computers like the Apple II, and a growing collection of board games from around the world.

You can explore the entire NYU Game Center Library Inventory here.

Game Development Resources

The NYU Game Center offers a substantial collection of hardware that students are available to use to experiment with their design practice and develop the future of games.

In addition to our tech offerings, the NYU Game Center also always has tons of non-digital prototyping materials. Our ‘prototype carts’ are available around the clock and offer both tools and inspiration for many of the NYU Game Center’s foundational design classes and board game designers.
