It’s Virtual Career Week at the NYU Game Center!

The NYU Game Center is proud to present Career Week 2020! This year, in lieu of our in-person annual Strategy Guide event, we’ve got a full week of career-oriented programming for students and alumni alike. If you’re just starting to think about your future career, you’re already applying to positions, or you’re just looking for an excuse to dust off your application materials, Career Week is here for you!

Starting May 4th, each day of the week will feature one or more live events to help you navigate the waters of finding and applying for jobs alongside a daily email featuring job opportunities, advice from alumni, and other resources. We’ve also got alumni volunteers ready to give feedback on resumes and portfolios, plus useful information sessions from the Office of Global Services, Wasserman Center for Career Development, and Tisch Office of Career Development.

All Career Week events are open to NYU Game Center Graduate and Undergraduate students and alumni only. Listed with each event below is info on how to sign-up or RSVP. For all Game Center-led events, links to all Zoom Meetings will be sent to RSVPs as well as posted in the NYU Game Center Slack. For TOCD & OGS events, you must register directly with them to receive the Zoom links. To sign-up for One-on-One Reviews with NYU Game Center Alumni, fill out this form.

All times listed are EST.

This is an additional 24 months of OPT work authorization for students with a US degree in certain majors of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. We highly recommend attending this webinar about 4 months before your current OPT EAD card is set to expire. During this webinar, we will review eligibility for the extension, the application process, reporting responsibilities, travel, and how Cap Gap extension often overlaps with the STEM extension.
