Ethan Redd — the creative leader of NYC-based independent game production house Virtuoso Neomedia — visits NYU Game Center to speak about his design practice and vision for the future of his studio. Virtuoso Neomedia is the developer of the uber-stylish dogfighter Zodiac XX and the upcoming mach speed combat-sport Raddminton. Ethan will dive into Virtuoso’s ongoing work to change the traditional mindsets around the action game as merely a vehicle for mechanics – and to demonstrate the genre’s potential to innovate as an expressive, sensorial, narrative form.
