The Tournament is now full! We’ll have a stand-by line for openings starting at 9AM at the tournament. Spectators are welcome! Get a spectator ticket here.
Spring Fighter 2015, our annual fighting game tournament will happen this April 11th. This year Seth Killian will be returning to interview fellow legend John Choi.
This year we’ll be hosting tournaments in Super Street Fighter IV Ultra, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, Guilty Gear: Xrd, Super Smash Bros Melee, Super Smash Bros 4. Plus, spots are still available for tournaments in Lethal League and Killer Queen (just added!).
Come celebrate with us at the first Killer Queen tournament at the NYU Game Center after the cabinet’s tour through IndieCade, the Independent Games Festival, and more! Entrance fee for the Killer Queen tournament will just be a dollar at the door.
Each game will have a variety of prizes, and this year the first prize winner of the Street Fighter tournament will have their round-trip flight to the Evolution Tournament covered by the NYU Game Center!
Tournament spots are only left in Lethal League and Killer Queen, but we’ll have a stand-by line starting at 9AM on the day of the tournament for any openings. Spectators are welcome, and you can get a spectator ticket here. Anyone with a spot in any tournament does not need a spectator ticket.
Each year the NYU Game Center invites a veteran of the fighting game community to share their thoughts about their career in fighting games, the scene, and life in general with Seth Killian. In the past we’ve hosted such greats as Daigo Umehara and Alex Valle, and this year we’ve invited another legendary player, John Choi. The talk is open to the public, so join us regardless of whether or not you are competing in the tournament!
We’d like to thank Arturo Sanchez for returning to stream and commentate our FGC games again this year. The stream will have stats provided One Frame Link.
Finally, there will be an after party hosted by Mashfest NYC and SONICBOOMBOX at Bowlmor in Times Square. Our special guests will be in attendance, and a number of games will be available for the inevitable money matches! You can find more info about the after party here.
