Basil Lim

Basil Lim is a game artist, animator and designer. He has worked on a variety of games both analog and digital, including the first game fully playable in Gaeilge, games for ADHD diagnostics and alleviation and games exploring social structures and the impact of disease, and has showcased work at the Games Developer’s Conference, Gamescom, Rezzed, Eurogamer Expo and EToo. He has experience leading teams as an art & animation director, and as a designer, created systems for battle loops and progression and award-winning minigames.

He has also served on the board of the Irish Game Developers Association (IMIRT) and is a founding board member of Irish Games Researchers. He continues to liaise with a number of universities as an academic advisor.

He is currently completing a PhD where he is researching the application of virtual and augmented reality technologies to neuroanatomy education and democratized access to diagnostics for neurological disease.
