Tori Smith

Tori Smith is a game designer, narrative designer, writer, performer, and educator based in NYC. She specializes in designing immersive narrative experiences, developing LARPs, and interactive theater. She received her MFA in Game Design (NYU Tisch), her BS in Liberal Arts with a Concentration in Psychology (The New School), and her AS in Musical Theater Performance (CAP21). Her game design work, including her narrative escape room experience “No Worries”, has been exhibited at The Lower Case NY & Boshi’s Place in NYC. In addition to her educational work, she is currently the Narrative Lead and NPC coordinator for Grimmiore Productions’ Regency Era LARP, Lies & Liabilities and developing a Jane Austen card game with Clarkson Potter. Her work aims to explore feminine relationships, anxieties of emerging adulthood, and intimate space. She brings to her design practice almost a decade of experience as a performer and writer in the NYC entertainment and costuming industry, with a deep understanding of storytelling and the various ways it can be conveyed and maintained.
