Why are you studying games?
Games are fun. People like games. I like fun. I like games.
Jokes aside, games are something I feel super passionate about; passing those ideas and emotions on to other people is something that I really want to do, and seeing positive feedback to something I put effort into gives me life.
What's your secret weapon?
As it turns out, I've got a bunch of semi-niche Japanese games logged away in my memory to use as reference as necessary. Stuff's cool.
How has the Game Center changed your thinking about games?
The idea of games as more than just 'entertainment' was a bit foreign to me when I had first entered, but the dizzying array of things that go into making them spring to life (including everything under the hood) is something else entirely.
What do you hope to accomplish after school?
Short-term? Grab a job as a narrative designer or code monkey; I can do either or, no problem. Both, even.
Long-term? Get to work on a game for a franchise I'm passionate about and get that out to the world.
What's the last great game you played and what's great about it?
Can I shill Fate/Grand Order again? Because I totally will. A gacha that's generally F2P friendly? More focus on story and narrative than trying to wring your wallet dry? Legitimately engaging gameplay? All-star VA cast? I could go on and on.
