You are at home on a cold Christmas night, stuck at home, in a foreign country. You get through it by cooking a hot dish intended for six people.

Hot Pot For One lets the player experience a kind of bittersweet feeling when making hot pot at home for oneself. Traditionally, hot pot is a Chinese cuisine that is usually made to be shared among a group of people on social events, such as family gatherings and holiday dinner, so hot pot is often associated with the image of a cheerful crowd sitting around a boiling pot of food. In this game, however, we wish to examine another way how people enjoy hot pot -- at home, by themselves. By bringing together the heart-warming act of self-care and the lonely feeling coming from contemporary urban life, the game brings to you a rich medley of emotions embedded in the process of making hot pot for one.
