The House is game inspired by Ayn Rand’s philosophy of “why don’t the rich ruin the lives of homeless people in pursuit of arbitrary and endless profit?”
If you can’t tell I’m being sarcastic, this game is a parody of gentrification as a game mechanic where you play as a real estate salesman throwing homeless people out onto the street while funneling large amounts of capital into the housing market in order to avoid taxes. When the inevitable tide of homeless people finally breaks apart the housing market you get to reflect on the arbitrary amount of capital you hoarded.
