Why are you studying games?
I've grown up playing games and I've always had an interest in interactive media. I want to make games that are visually appealing while still being interactive and exciting and venturing off into new paths.
What's your secret weapon?
I come from a background of visual design and I have a vast skill set in fine arts, illustration, animation, and video editing. I know how to solder and cut metal as well as using oil paints and a few video editing softwares like Final Cut Pro.
How has the Game Center changed your thinking about games?
Game Center has taught me about what games are already out in the market, and what the gaming industry still lacks. There is a severe lack of proper representation of people of color, sex, and orientation. Games can be so much more than just for entertainment and more games should strive to be informative and entertaining.
What do you hope to accomplish after school?
I want to make visually stunning games with a variety of styles and variations to the games I make..
What's the last great game you played and what's great about it?
I really enjoyed playing Don't Starve Together, especially with other people. I always enjoy simulation type games and playing with friends trying to survive. It's a great mix of teamwork and combating the environment while also staying alive and sane together.
